The American University in Cairo School of Business Executive Education has recently launched a new blog: “Diaries of Executive Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic,” an initiative that aims to document the transitional phase the team and programs have undergone with the sudden shift to online learning.

What’s unique about this blog series is its diversity; the stories are being told through the eyes of different members of the team, especially staff members, including all the challenges and obstacles they faced, how they overcame them, and what they learned every step of the way.

We will be releasing a new chapter every two weeks, each telling a different success story from different angles and perspectives.

As of now, two chapters have been released, the first by Executive Director of Executive Education Mohamed Abdelsalam on “How We Hit the Ground Running,” and the second being the recount of Program Officer Mohamed Hussein on “Fulfillment During Crisis Management.” Together, the two chapters tell the story of how the journey began and the first reaction on “going virtual,” detailing he participants’ initial resistance to transitioning online, the success of trial sessions, and their feedback after almost finishing the course.
